It's happened more than once. I notice that I'm getting traffic from a new blog (or getting increased traffic from a blog that already links to me), and I see a sentence that says something like this:
We had macaroni and cheese for dinner. Sorry Foodmomiac!
The kids ate TV Dinners. Foodmomiac would be so disappointed!
In fact, I read something just like this on Self Made Mom's blog last week.
Well, I hate to shatter your illusions, but let's take a good look at what the kids and I ate tonight (Michael is stuck on a tarmac in Nashville):
Max: Trader Joe's meatballs cooked in barbecue sauce and water, Green Giant broccoli and cheese
Dylan: Trader Joe's fake chicken nuggets, barbecue sauce, and her own pack of Green Giant broccoli and cheese
Danielle: Max's leftover broccoli, cold. One Tarte d'Alsace from Trader Joe's, tall Ketel One Screwdriver
We are all about the gourmet here.
Ah,cold brocolli. It's a glamorous life, being a mom.

Oh man, I love that Tarte d'Alsace from TJs. It is really good.

I'm still not buying it, Danielle. It's still Trader Joe's and it's still healthy. Come talk to me when you've whipped out the Chef Boyardee ravioli, a.k.a. me last night.

Now the screwdriver is more like it!

tarte d'alsace is the jam. it's what i call high-rent junk food. and, for the record, i feel no shame about consuming an entire tarte and drinking an entire bottle of wine alone in my pjs after a long work week, which i've done on more than one occasion.
