Dylan's school called me today at 1:15 to pick her up. She has a nasty stomach virus. I spent the afternoon trying to keep her entertained with her Aqua Doodle and Noggin and chasing her into the bathroom to clean her up every 20 minutes or so. Did I mention that I did this while on a conference call with the president of my company? Fun times.
Michael drove down from Michigan to help out, and he stopped for some takeout Lebanese food because there was no way dinner was getting made here tonight. I'm not THAT good.
Toledo has a very large Lebanese population. In fact, two of our most famous native sons (Danny Thomas and Jamie Farr) are both Lebanese. Tiger Bakery is a great little grocery/takeout joint with two locations. They sell everything by the pound, and it's a pretty reasonable option for dinner. Starting from the top left of the photo and working down to bottom right, we had couscous, shish tawook (chicken kabob), feta cheese, taboulleh, shish kafta, meat pie and hummous. Oh, and pita bread.
Tomorrow, Michael will stay home with Dylie. Max has an ear infection, but is well enough to go to day care, so he'll do that while I go to a meeting up in Michigan with one of my clients.
And then, the most exciting event of the whole week (Dylan's health permitting): Michael is taking Dylan to BARBIE FAIRYTOPIA!!! Front row seats at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. The kid is beside herself with glee. She is going to wear her Barbie Fairytopia nightgown. I am sending the camera and can't wait to see the pics.

Poor Dylan (well and you all for looking after her) I hope it's only a 24hour thing. Be careful you might get it yourself, I had it and it's NASTY!

Feel better soon! And let me know how the Barbie show is. It's coming out west at the end of summer.
